The second week of the 2026 NFL preseason continues on Friday with a three-game slate. The first game kicks off at 7 p.m. ET when the Jets take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh. One of Severance's strongest Week 2 NFL picks for Friday is Steelers (+1.5) over Jets, as Penn State product Drew Allar looks to continue his strong preseason play.
Allar, a third-round pick, was impressive in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers. He completed 10 of 13 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-9 win.
"Pittsburgh's Aaron Rodgers won't play because he never does in the preseason," Severance said. "But one of the big stories of Week 1 was Steelers rookie QB Drew Allar, a third-rounder out of Penn State.
