Robert Munic is adapting French-Canadian series 'Le Clan' for Peacock Bret Green Robert Munic and Teton Ridge Entertainment are adapting French-Canadian series Le Clan for Peacock, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Retitled Stoic Ridge, the modern Western about “loyalty, betrayal, and the fight to outrun the past,” will be made in English.
“After years in witness protection, reformed criminal Jacob Morris has built a quiet life as a rancher, husband and father in small-town New Mexico,” the logline reads. “When his crime boss father and brother are released from prison, however, his two worlds collide, forcing him to protect his new family from the one he betrayed.”

Munic will showrun; other executive producers include Jillian Share, Jen Gorton, Guy Stodel and Joanne Forgues. Stoic Ridge is in development through UCP (Universal Content Productions), which is a division of Universal Studio Group, and Teton Ridge Entertainment, a TWG Global-owned studio.
Le Clan, created by Joanne Arseneau and produced by Productions Casablanca, Phare-Est Media and Avenue Productions, was a standout in several below-the-line categories. It received Gemeaux Award nominations for cinematography, sound and set design.
Teton Ridge Entertainment recently acquired the film and TV rights for Stanley Kramer’s High Noon. It also has the rights to the Lonesome Dove franchise, as well as the life rights to the iconic Western actor John Wayne. Teton Ridge Entertainment’s music documentary, Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, premiered last month on Netflix.
Munic is an Emmy and DGA Award-nominated writer, director and producer. He created and was showrunner for Starz’s Powerbook IV: Force. He also created A&E’s The Cleaner starring Benjamin Bratt, and counts Gang Related and Empire among his credits.
Stodel is cofounder of Rosto, which among its work counts Peacock comedy Bust Down. The banner recently concluded a first look deal with 20th Television, following a prior first look agreement with Blumhouse Television.
Munic is repped by Independent Artist Group, TFC Management and Myman Greenspan Fox.
