The series has begun production on its second season in London and added Tracey Ullman, Sam Spruell and Jerome Flynn to its cast. They join returning castmembers Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Babou Ceesay, Samuel Blenkin, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Adrian Edmondson, David Rysdahl, Moe Bar-El and Sandra Yi Sencindiver, along with fellow season two addition Peter Dinklage.
Spruell and Alien: Earth creator and showrunner Noah Hawley have worked together previously on season five of Fargo, where Spruell played the sin eater Ole Munch.

Details on season two are scant thus far, including the roles that Ullman, Spruell and Flynn will play. The show’s first season ended on a cliffhanger, and Hawley told The Hollywood Reporter after the finale he intended to leave things on the table for a second installment: “This chapter is closed, but Yutani troops are landing. The balance of power has shifted,” he said. “These children have no idea what’s coming. The last line of, “Now we rule” is triumphant and uplifting. But cut to 10 minutes later … what is going to be happening? So I like that it has that real-time urgency to it.”
Multi-time Emmy winner Ullman most recently guest-starred on CBS’ Elsbeth and has a role in the upcoming fourth season of Ted Lasso. Her recent credits also include Black Doves, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Mrs. America.
Spruell is coming off of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms at HBO. He also counts Parmaount+’s The Gold and the BBC miniseries Dear England among his recent work. Flynn’s credits include Game of Thrones, the Yellowstone prequel 1923 and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
