Telescope deals
Celestron StarSense Explorer DX 130 full review. Very user-friendly, and set up is highly portable but it has an undriven mount and is limited to basic astrophotography.
Celestron StarSense Explorer LT 114AZ telescope review. High magnification for moon and planets and affordable for budget-conscious. But it lacks precision and has chromatic aberration on bright objects.
Celestron Inspire 100AZ full review. This telescope provides sharp views of planets and the moon and has a handy smartphone adaptor but be warned its bearings lack precision and there is some chromatic aberration.
Celestron Astro Fi 102 full review. It has a very portable design and doesn't need any prior telescope experience but the optics and tripod could be better quality.
Celestron Astromaster 70AZ full review. This telescope avoids distracting false color and has a lightweight design but lacks precision and slow-motion controls.
Binocular deals
Canon 10x42 L IS WP full review. Excellent image stabilization and excellent quality optics but it is heavy and requires lots of AAA batteries.
Nikon Monarch HG 10x42 full review. Chromatic aberration pretty much non-existent and razor sharp views but could be improved with image stabilization.
Nikon Monarch M7 8x42 full review. Edge-to-edge optical sharpness and generous views but has some chromatic aberration and may outprice beginner observers.
Nikon Prostaff P3 8x42 full review. They have excellent optics and an easy-to-transport roof prism design but the neckstrap and lens caps could be better.
Celestron UpClose G2 10x50 full review. They are ideally sized for astronomy and easy to adjust but be aware of the narrow eyecups and minor image distortion.
Celestron Cometron 7x50 full review. They have good optics for a great price and a wide field of view but they are not drop or water proof.
Celestron Skymaster 25x100 full review. These binoculars have high magnification and come with a tripod adapter for stable view but they are very heavy and require their own tripod.
Celestron Trailseeker 8x42 full review. They have great quality optics and a useful harness strap but observations have a hint of color fringing and lack magnification for deep sky.
Celestron Skymaster Pro 20x80 full review. An excellent build quality combined with bright contrast-heavy images makes for good night sky observations but they can be too heavy to hold steady during long observations.
Celestron Skymaster Pro 15x70 full review. These are excellent for viewing larger deep-sky objects and they are nitrogen-filled to prevent internal misting but they are difficult to hold steady and the rubber eyecaps can come loose.
Camera deals
Canon EOS R6 II full review. Versatile features and excellent build quality but it only has a 24MP sensor and 6K video.
Sony Alpha 7R V full review. AI-powered autofocus and a versatile LCD screen but produces noise on high ISO images and burst speed is capped at 10FPS.
Sony Alpha 7 III full review. Brilliant autofocus and weather sealing for tough conditions but can feel unbalanced with heavy lenses and has a complicated menu system.
Sony Alpha 7C II full review. This camera produces impressive images for the spec and price and has accurate autofocus but it only has a single card slot and dedicated astro shooters might find there is too much noise.
OM System E-M10 Mark IV full review. It's incredibly lightweight with fast autofocus but it lacks a mic port and has a plastic feel to it.
Night vision deals
Nightfox Swift full review. The Swift has a lightweight design and rechargeable batteries but it lacks video capture and the field of view could be better.
Bushnell Equinox X650 night vision monocular full review. It has a 650-foot (200 meters) night-view distance and is capable of video capture but viewing quality isn't the best.
