Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan, were arrested on Saturday in Miami, with the Associated Press reporting that British authorities sought their extradition on rape and sex trafficking charges.

Charges were not detailed, however U.S. Marshals Service spokesperson Brady McCarron told AP the Tate brothers were taken into custody on a sealed warrant.

The Crown Prosecution Service shared a statement on Saturday, which said prosecutors decided to bring further charges against the Tates “in relation to four additional victims.”

Andrew Tate and Brother Tristan Charged With 21 U.K. Crimes, Including Rape and Human Trafficking

“Following their arrest in the U.S., the CPS will be seeking their extradition in relation to the original 21 charges they face, as well as the further charges which we have decided to prosecute,” the statement read.

Andrew Tate emerged online as a controversial social media personality, with his content being centered around extreme misogyny. He entered the zeitgeist in 2016 with an appearance on the U.K. version of Big Brother, however he was removed from the house six days after a video of him appearing to attack a woman surfaced.

He and Tristan were charged with 21 crimes in the U.K. in May 2025, including rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking.

Per the BBC, Tate faces 10 charges connected to three alleged victims, including rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking and controlling prostitution for gain. Tristan faces 11 charges connected to one alleged victim, including rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking, the BBC also said.

They were also previously arrested in 2022 in Romania, and were accused of participating in schemes to lure women for sexual exploitation, also per AP. They denied the allegations.
