©Sony Pictures/Courtesy Everett Collection “Insidious: Out of the Further” leapfrogged “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and took the No. 1 spot at the domestic box office on Friday, but Marvel’s webslinger is still poised to win the weekend.
“Out of the Further,” the sixth installment in the “Insidious” franchise, grossed $10.6 million on Friday from 3,303 North American theaters. By Sunday, the supernatural horror romp is expected to pull in $23.7 million for Blumhouse and Sony.
