Insidious: Out of the Further” won’t topple the box office reign of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”

The sixth “Insidious” installment is targeting $23 million to $27 million in its domestic debut, likely enough for second place on North American charts. “Brand New Day” should retain the No. 1 spot in its fourth weekend, with the superhero sequel estimated to earn $35 million to $40 million between Friday and Sunday. Both movies hail from Sony.
