Brian Tyree Henry Joins Apple Studios Sports Drama ‘Running’

Brian Tyree Henry will star in “Running,” a sports drama from “Warrior” and “The Way Back” director Gavin O’Connor. He joins the previously announced star Spike Fearn in the Apple Studios production.

“Running” is based an original story by O’Connor and Bill Dubuque (“Ozark,” “The Accountant”) and follows a homeless high school running prodigy. The film is produced by Makeready along with Nike Films, which knows a thing or two about track.
