The British engineering company JCB and the driver Andy Green have set a new world land speed record for a hydrogen-powered vehicle of 406.320mph with their JCB Hydromax. The attempt comes 20 years after Green drove JCB's Dieselmax car to a FIA-certified diesel land speed record of 350.092mph. Green also holds the outright world land speed record of 763.035mph, which he achieved in 1997, becoming the first and still only person to break the sound barrier on land
