Carrot Top Getty Images Carrot Top was forced to cancel his Las Vegas shows this weekend after the prop comic was hospitalized on Friday night.
A rep for the red-haired comedian born Scott Thompson confirmed in a statement, “Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs. His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy.”
TMZ reported Friday that Thompson was rushed to the hospital following a suicide attempt; the comedian’s rep did not elaborate on the cause of the hospitalization or Thompson’s condition.
