CALD Community Voices Australian documentary “Shared Table: Regional Heroes” has been acquired by Cinepolis India for a limited theatrical release later this year, following the film’s world premiere in the international competition section of the 19th Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF).
Directed by Melbourne-based Indian-Australian filmmaker Nandita Chakraborty, the documentary follows a group of filmmakers on an improvised road trip across regional Victoria, tracing the lives of four migrant communities who open their homes and kitchens to explore questions of identity, displacement, and cultural memory through food. It is the only Australian film selected for MIFF 2026.
