Clavicular has been charged with unlawfully discharging a firearm after he was seen in a video shooting an alligator in the Florida Everglades.

The video shows Clavicular, a “looksmaxxing” influencer whose real name is Braden Peters, and two others firing multiple rounds at what appears to be a dead alligator.

Jeffrey Neiman, a lawyer for Peters, said the group was “following the instructions of a licensed airboat guide.” He added that the streamer “relied on that guidance” and that “no animals are people were harmed.”

Peters faces a sentence of up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine. Two others were also charged with discharging a firearm in a public place.

The incident occurred on March 26 at Francis Taylor Everglades Wildlife Management Area. In the viral video, Peters appears to stand at the front of the boat and fire at least 11 rounds at the dead alligator.

According to court records, his bond was set at $1,000. An arraignment has been scheduled for May 20.

The charges, filed on April 29, add to Peters’ mounting legal troubles. He also faces misdemeanor battery and conspiracy to commit battery charges for allegedly staging a fight between two women. According to law enforcement, he instigated the dispute, which was later posted to social media.

In April, Peters was hospitalized after appearing to overdose on a livestream. “Just got home, that was brutal,” he tweeted alongside a photo of himself. “All of the substances are just a cope trying to feel neurotypical while being in public, but obviously that isn’t a real solution. The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask.”
