CNBC, in the midst of developing more direct-to-consumer services under a larger initiative by corporate parent Versant Media, said it hired two new executives to oversee work tied to development of subscriptions and partnerships.

Ian Moore, who has logged stints at Verizon Media and New York Times Co., was named vice president of subscriptions, and will focus on subscriber acquisition, engagement and retention. He had most recently worked for Business Insider, where he most served as general manager of subscription growth and revenue operations,
