The Artemis II spacecraft is now safely back on Earth, but that doesn’t mean its journey has to end just yet. LEGO has recently released an Artemis-themed rocket set, now available at major retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Target.

This out-of-this-world model includes 632 pieces and is designed for builders ages nine and up. Developed in collaboration with NASA, LEGO notes that while it won’t actually launch into space, it’s crafted to resemble a real rocket in striking detail. The set also features a “working crank that demonstrates the three stages of launch.”

Early buyers have already praised the model for its “beautiful mechanisms” and “incredible value,” especially given its intricate design and price point under $100, significantly more affordable than many comparable LEGO sets, which can cost several hundred dollars.

Collectors of all ages can display the rocket anywhere, from bookshelves to office desks, or use it as a tribute piece to celebrate the success of the Artemis program and humanity’s return to lunar missions.

The Artemis II mission was the first crewed lunar flight in over 50 years since Apollo 17 in 1972. The crew included Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, who spent just over nine days in space.

According to a recent Rolling Stone article, the mission even featured some musical moments in orbit; the crew reportedly woke up one day to Zac Brown Band’s “Free” playing during their time aboard the spacecraft.

While this isn’t LEGO’s first venture into space-themed sets, this release serves as a tribute to one of the most anticipated events in modern space exploration. With demand rising for all things astronaut-related, it may be worth grabbing one before it flies off the shelves.
