Connor Storrie has officially made his Met Gala debut.

The Heated Rivalry star arrived at fashion’s biggest night sporting an all-black Saint Laurent ensemble, adorned with Tiffany & Co. jewelry. Storrie was first spotted leaving the Carlyle Hotel before making his way to the 2026 Met Gala, posing and joking with the gathered crowd.

The night’s theme is Costume Art and had a dress code of “fashion is art,” leaving attendees plenty of room for interpretation. Storrie opted for a black suit with YSL’s extra-long lavallière top in white dotted silk muslin. The top led into a bow at the back of his neck, flowing down to a train.

The actor took the jacket off to walk the carpet, looking extra chic in the sleeveless ensemble. He paired the look with a belt, high rise pants and leather boots, all from YSL. He told Vogue on the carpet that the look was the brain child of his stylist, James Yardley, and YSL’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello.

Storrie topped his look off with Tiffany & Co. accessories. He added a Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. Fleurage brooch in platinum and 18k yellow gold with a rubellite of over three carats and diamonds as the focal point of his look, along with another brooch at his neck, a ring in platinum and 18k yellow gold with un-enhanced rubies of over one total carat and diamonds. The actor finished off his ensemble with huggie earrings.

The 26-year-old actor’s appearance at Monday’s Met Gala was hotly anticipated. Speculation had been brewing online as to whether Storrie and his Heated Rivalry co-star Hudson Williams would attend the gala. Williams has yet to arrive but has been spotted in NYC over the weekend and is expected to attend.

Storrie had also been spotted around New York over the weekend. On Saturday night, he made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live to introduce host and musical guest Olivia Rodrigo’s new song, “Begged,” from her forthcoming third studio album, You seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. The actor made his own SNL debut earlier this year, hosting the Feb. 28 episode.

Over the last several months, Storrie has landed several coveted luxury brand ambassadorship gigs, including both Saint Laurent and Tiffany & Co. The actor and Yardley recently graced the cover of The Hollywood Reporter’s Power Stylist issue for their work together.

Storrie’s Met Gala debut comes just six months after his breakout role in the queer hockey drama, Heated Rivalry. Hailing from Canadian streamer Crave and airing on HBO Max in the U.S., the series is based on popular romance novels by Rachel Reid. Letterkenny alum Jacob Tierney created, wrote and directed the series.

The show centers around two rival professional players — Canada-born Shane Hollander (Williams) of the fictitious Montreal Metros and Russia-born Ilya Rozanov (Storrie) of the fictitious Boston Raiders — as they navigate a near-decade-long secret affair that unfolds throughout their entire professional careers. The books had a dedicated fanbase before the series even aired; however, the show exploded in popularity at the end of last year.

Heated Rivalry has made certified stars out of both Storrie and Williams. In the months since the show premiered, the pair have presented at the Golden Globes, served as torchbearers in the 2026 Olympic Torch Relay and each booked post-Heated Rivalry roles. THR previously reported that Storrie was in talks to join the ensemble cast of Molly Gordon and SNL writer Allie Levitan’s A24 comedy Peaked, which appears to have just recently wrapped shooting.

Crave renewed Heated Rivalry for a second season early into the show’s first season run. HBO Max has confirmed it will continue to air the series. The show is slated to shoot the second season this summer and is aiming for a spring 2027 release, Bell Media and Crave told THR in a statement. The upcoming season will be based on the next installment of Shane and Ilya’s story in Reid’s novels, The Long Game. Parts of the fifth book in the series, Role Model — which centers around one of Ilya’s new teammates in Ottawa and the team’s social media manager — will also be incorporated. Storrie’s character is a major presence in Role Model.

The 2026 Met Gala is being co-chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sánchez Bezos are honorary chairs, which has caused a stir of controversy leading up to fashion’s biggest night.

This year’s host committee includes Anthony Vaccarello, Zoë Kravitz, Adut Akech, Angela Bassett, Sinéad Burke, Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Gwendoline Christie, Misty Copeland, Alex Consani, Elizabeth Debicki, Lena Dunham, Paloma Elsesser, Rebecca Hall, Blackpink’s Lisa, Chloe Malle, Aimee Mullins, Amy Sherald, Tschabalala Self, Sam Smith, Teyana Taylor, Anna Weyant, Lauren Wasser, A’ja Wilson, Chase Sui Wonders and Yseult.
