“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” turns 10 at London’s Palace Theatre today, July 30, cementing its place as the longest-running play in modern West End history to be performed as a two-part theatrical experience. Produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions, the production has been seen by more than 2.5 million people at the Palace Theatre since opening in 2016 – over 300,000 of them first-time theatregoers. Across 1,762 combined performances of Part 1 and Part 2, the show has logged more than 8,300 hours on stage, with 276 cast members having appeared in the production and 45 making their professional debut.
