How to watch the solar eclipse safelyCloseA partial solar eclipse is set to be visible across the South West on Wednesday evening.
In Devon and Cornwall, the eclipse will start at about 18:18 BST, peak at 19:15 and finish at about 20:10 - but how can it be viewed safely?
Consultant ophthalmologist David Jones said his top four tips were to use eclipse glasses, a pinhole, colander or a cereal box.
He encouraged people not to miss the "amazing celestial event" but to enjoy it safely.
