Justin Bieber has been added to the star-studded lineup of performers at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final game, for its first-ever halftime show. It takes place at New York New Jersey Stadium on July 19.

“The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can. I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world,” Justin Bieber said in a statement.

The halftime show will benefit FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which is looking to raise $100 million to provide children worldwide expanded access to education and football. It has already raised more than half that amount and continues to head toward its goal with $1 from every ticket sold for matches being donated throughout the tournament.

Bieber joins previously announced performers Madonna, Shakira, and BTS to co-headline the FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show, which is being produced by Global Citizen in partnership with Live Nation and Done + Dusted. Burna Boy; Gustavo Dudamel; and PS22 Chorus, a choir comprising 4th and 5th graders from a public elementary school in Staten Island featuring Coldplay, will also appear. The show, which is curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin as part of his continuing role as international curator of Global Citizen Festival, is expected to run 11 minutes.

“When it comes to what the world needs, there is nothing more important than education. We are proud to have Justin Bieber joining Madonna, Shakira and BTS to co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and our mission to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in a statement. “Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel and PS 22 Chorus ft. Coldplay will also join and play a key role in conveying a powerful message of unity and hope to billions of people worldwide.”

Infantino continued: “As the world unites for the most significant football match in history on Sunday, 19 July 2026 at the New York New Jersey Stadium, this groundbreaking spectacle, curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay, will celebrate football, music and our shared values, ensuring a legacy that transcends the final whistle.”

Beyond the musical talent, the show will also feature appearances from the beloved Muppets from Sesame Street.
