Evan Morgan will executive produce, with Rachel Kaplan exec producing via Abescon Entertainment

©Sony Pictures/Courtesy Everett Collection Hulu is developing a series version of the 2020 movie “The Kid Detective,” Variety has learned exclusively.
Evan Morgan, who wrote and directed the film, is attached as an executive producer on the project. Alex Berger will write and executive produce. Rachel Kaplan of Abescon Entertainment will also executive produce, with Jonathan Bronfman and Will Woods — who produced the film — producing the series as well. Adam Brody, who starred in “The Kid Detective,” is not attached at this time.
