Jonathan Olley “Project Hail Mary” rose to the top position at the South Korean box office during the weekend of Apr. 3–05, 2026. According to data from KOBIS, the tracking service operated by the Korean Film Council, the film earned $2.4 million from 328,750 admissions, capturing a 39.56% revenue share. Since its Mar. 18 debut, the film, starring Ryan Gosling, has reached a cumulative gross of $12.2 million.
“The King’s Warden” moved to second place but continued its historic run by crossing the $100 million revenue milestone. The historical drama added $1.7 million over the weekend, bringing its unprecedented cumulative gross to $103.1 million. With 270,272 admissions over the three-day period, the film’s total attendance now stands at 16,091,712. It is currently fewer than 170,000 admissions away from overtaking the 2019 comedy “Extreme Job” (16.26 million) to become the second most-watched film in South Korean history.
