Showbite Showbox, the Korean film and content studio, has launched a new microdrama label, Showbite, and will begin rolling out original short-form content in September, spanning genres from romance and comedy to revenge, action-thriller, period drama, fantasy, mystery and horror.
The romance slate includes “Taste of You,” a BL enemies-to-lovers story set in the world of culinary competition, and “Love in Thailand,” a romantic comedy set at a golf resort. Also on the slate are “The New Hire Is Too Hot to Handle,” an office romance built around a high-concept premise; “Love, Again,” which follows a second-chance romance involving lost memories and a reunion; and “My Ex-Bias Problem,” a romantic comedy centered on an arrogant K-pop idol whose life changes after he is sent to a remote island village.
