On Tuesday, the Roku Channel released the official trailer for The Reunion: Laguna Beach, which reunites original stars of the reality series: Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, Kristin Cavallari, Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Shuller, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith and Alex Hooser, 20 years later.
The original Laguna Beach, inspired by the Fox teen drama The O.C., debuted on MTV in 2004 and ran for three seasons until 2006.

To kick things off, the trailer begins with Conrad and Cavallari sitting together at a fire on the beach. “We have never had a conversation on camera, just the two of us,” Cavallari says to Conrad, to which she replies, “No.”
Then, Hilary Duff’s 2003 hit “Come Clean” starts to play — the theme song to Laguna Beach. Oh, the nostalgia!
Throughout the trailer, the old feud between Conrad and Cavallari resurfaces, stemming from a love triangle involving the two and Colletti. While they were in high school, Cavallari and Colletti dated, while Conrad was close friends with him and had feelings for him. The teenagers were cast when MTV showed up to their high school and held an open casting call. Cavallari recalls what she thinks got her cast: “[Producers] said, ‘Who do you think is going to be Prom Queen.’ I said, ‘I don’t know and I don’t care as long as it’s not Lauren Conrad.”
Conrad adds: “We did not like each other.”
However, it’s worth noting that in 2022, Conrad appeared on an episode of Cavallari and Colletti’s Back to the Beach podcast, apologized to each other for their drama, and claimed MTV played it up.
The two-hour reunion special will include behind-the-scenes stories, cast reactions to memorable episodes like Cabo, a return to Laguna Beach, and reflections on the friendships they formed, love triangles and the drama that ensued — all with a different perspective.
“For all of us, it was hard to revisit for different reasons. It just feels like the right time now,” Cavallari says.
Several cast members can be seen getting emotional in the trailer. “This is a serious full circle moment,” Colletti says.
The Reunion: Laguna Beach premieres on Roku April 10.
