Courtesy of Studio MiM Oleg Kuzovkov, the creator of hit 3D animated show “Masha and the Bear,” is to produce the first original feature film based on the record-breaking property.
The show is incredibly popular on YouTube and one of its episodes is the most-watched non-music video on the platform: the episode titled “Masha and the Bear: Recipe for Disaster” has recorded more than 4.6 billion views.
Kuzovkov recently regained creative control over his characters following the expiration of the license he granted to Animaccord, and has set up independent animation production company Studio MiM, based in both Los Angeles and Moscow, to produce the film and its sequels.
