Morgan Wallen assured fans his piano was still in working order, poking fun at himself after he pushed over his upright during a performance in Denver.

In a short clip shared on social media, Wallen filmed himself walking up to a keyboard and telling the camera, “Hey, I just want you guys to know that, right now, this piano is working.” Then, after taking a step away, he turned back and quipped, “That’s what they told me last night, too!”

(He added in the caption, “Can’t you tell I’m so distraught over my piano.”)

The piano flipping incident occurred during the encore performance of “Sand in My Boots” at Wallen’s first of two headlining shows at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium in Denver. Everything seemed to be going smoothly during the sing-along ballad, but some technical difficulties appeared to hinder Wallen’s ability to hear the instrument while he played.

He wound up finishing the song a cappella, which the crowd loved. And after completing the song, he did his best Billy Joel impression and pushed the piano over (which the crowd also seemed to love).
