Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner are showing support for their former Summer House co-star Ciara Miller

The Giggly Squad co-hosts lightly addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding the Bravo series, which arose after Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirmed their relationship on Tuesday. Batula and Miller have been close friends for years; Miller used to date Wilson.

“Obviously, we’re live. We see the internet, we know what’s going on,” DeSorbo said during the Friday episode of their podcast. “Ciara is our real friend, in real life. So we have been talking to her, consoling her. We are behind her a hundred percent. We would never capitalize or monetize off of our friend’s heartbreak.”

Berner added, “We love you Ciara, as the one and only guest that’s ever been on Giggly Squad.” The Daphne founder commended The Traitors season three star further, noting that Miller will address the situation when the time is right for her.

“Ciara is a strong, intelligent, capable woman. She will speak her truth when it is her time,” DeSorbo said. “I would never speak for her, and also, this is reality TV.”

Miller joined the cast of Bravo’s Summer House during its fifth season, which also marked Berner’s last year on the series. DeSorbo remained on the reality show from season three through nine, announcing her exit just ahead of the landmark 10th season that is currently on air.

Speculation of a potential romance between Batula and Wilson flooded the Bravosphere throughout the month of March, and they both previously denied such claims.

Wilson joined the cast of Bravo’s Summer House in season eight, which began airing in 2024. There, Wilson met the cast and began his romance with Miller, whom he dated through the end of the year. At the season eight reunion of the reality series, the two announced they were no longer together, and Miller revealed that Wilson said he could not commit to a serious relationship with her “for show related reasons.”

Wilson and Miller were on rocky terms throughout the ninth season of Summer House. Season 10 premiered in February, where the two have gotten close and rehashed aspects of their former romance. (In episode seven, Miller admitted that “it’s very clear that we both miss each other,” and noted that “we’re in a weird state of like, limbo, and so it’s all just coming out so disorganized and a bit crazy.”)

Batula and her husband Kyle Cooke also recently announced their separation in January, with the lead-up to their split being captured on season 10 of Summer House. Cooke recently defended his wife amid the backlash she’s faced for her relationship with Wilson, and also noted that they’d have to address the “murkiness” surrounding the timeline of their separation at the upcoming reunion.

“There’s a little murkiness as to our separation and when we put the announcement out that I think we’ll have to address at the reunion,” he said. “Right now, I’m just honestly more concerned about Amanda’s mental health than I am trying to get to the bottom of it, because I am worried about her. I don’t think West is in a place to offer her what she needs. It’s a weird position to find myself in.”

DeSorbo, Berner and Cooke are the most prominent of the Summer House stars to speak on the scandal. Miller has not publicly spoken out, though she did unfollow Batula and Wilson after they shared their statement on Instagram Tuesday. She also posted on Instagram on the same day her co-stars confirmed their relationship, sharing a video of her interviewing the cast of Your Friends & Neighbors

“If you can’t trust your Friends & Neighbors, who can you trust?” Miller captioned the post.

Despite much drama circulating Summer House, sources have told The Hollywood Reporter that cameras will not pick up to capture the fallout from the scandal. The reunion, where Miller will come face to face with Batula and Wilson for the first time since the news broke, will film in a few weeks.
