To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Guillermo del Toro‘s fantastical film “Pan’s Labyrinth,” Insight Editions is publishing two official books, “Pan’s Labyrinth: The Complete Screenplay” and “Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth: Inside the Creation of a Modern Fairytale — 20th Anniversary Edition.”

“Inside the Creation of a Modern Fairy Tale” was written in close collaboration with del Toro. It covers all aspects of the filmmaking journey, from his early story ideas through the all-important casting process, the challenges of production and the overwhelmingly positive critical response. Director Steven Spielberg provides the book’s foreword.
