‘Tangled’ Sets March 2028 Release Date as First Footage Debuts at D23

Disney has set a March 31, 2028 release date for its live-action adaptation of “Tangled.”

The news was revealed during the Disney Entertainment Showcase at the D23 fan event Friday, where the first footage from the “Tangled” remake was shown exclusively to those in attendance.

Starring Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider, the film follows the same Brothers Grimm fairytale as the 2010 animated movie about the princess with magically long hair. After spending years locked away in an isolated tower, Rapunzel is eventually rescued by the fugitive thief, Flynn Rider.
