©Sony Pictures/Courtesy Everett Collection Tom Holland is swinging back into theaters this weekend as Peter Parker in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” but a plan is already being laid out for his replacement. The actor has been vocal in past interviews about wanting to be directly involved in passing the baton to his Spider-Man successor, but he revealed in a new interview on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast that a plan is already taking shape behind the scenes.
“There’s a whole plan that we have been working on for, I would say, since we finished ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,'” Holland said, revealing succession plans have been in the works for five years. “It’s laid out. It’s gonna change for sure, but I have a really clear vision to the passing on of the baton, and I think it’s really exciting.”
