NBC “The Office” alum Brian Baumgartner is revisiting a rare behind-the-scenes dispute from his nine-season run as Kevin Malone, revealing he once pushed back against editors who cut what he considered to be an “amazing” joke.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Baumgartner reflected on the unusually collaborative environment of the NBC comedy, where actors were often encouraged to pitch ideas and contribute to character development. While not every suggestion made it to air, he said most creative exchanges were welcomed, with one notable exception that left him “really mad.”
