Altman2 Entertainment, Vital Signs Entertainment and Galaxie Productions have released the trailer for “The Sixty-Year Mission: How Star Trek Changed Television and the World,” a new documentary about the history and cultural impact of the iconic sci-fi franchise.

The film’s official logline reads, “Drawing on exclusive interviews, never-before-seen archival material and first-hand accounts from the people who built the franchise as well as celebrity superfans, ‘The Sixty-Year Mission’ traces ‘Star Trek’ from its turbulent beginnings in the 1960s through its transformation into one of the most enduring and influential properties in entertainment history.”
