This $37 Levi’s Denim Jacket Delivers Rock Star Looks at Starving Artist Prices

Few wardrobe staples are as iconic as a denim jacket, and musicians have long embraced the layering piece as part of their on-stage — and off-stage — looks. Part of the Levi Strauss Signature Collection, this trucker-style look features all the hallmarks of a good jean jacket: a mid-weight 14 oz. cotton material, metal buttons, flap chest pockets and two welt side pockets.

We love this light-to-medium wash, dubbed “Cowboy Sky” on the Walmart website. The blue colorway is casual enough to pair the denim jacket with a hoodie and sweats, but you wouldn’t look out of place wearing the jacket over a collared shirt to a date or work function either.

This jacket has a classic tailored fit; neither slim nor baggy. We recommend taking your usual size, but you can also size up if you want that oversized look. I’ve had a version of this Levi’s jean jacket for years and love how it’s been beaten up and worn in, yet still maintains its style. Walmart also sells this workwear-inspired denim jacket that you can snag for under $40 right now. I like the utilitarian (yet minimalist) details, and the bomber-style silhouette, which makes this jacket suitable for the office or a dinner date too.

The above two jackets are authentic Levi Strauss pieces sold officially at Walmart. Though they are marketed as men’s jackets, they work for unisex styling too.

Looking to layer up for the chilly weather? Walmart also has this Sherpa Jacket on sale for just $23 (as of this writing). The jacket is made from a durable cotton blend material, with cuffed sleeves and faux shearling trim.
