President Trump doubled down Tuesday on his support for My Pillow founder Mike Lindell, who is running for governor in Minnesota, hours before primary polls close.

“Mike Lindell deserves a BIG WIN IN MINNESOTA today,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Nobody has worked harder, and given up so much, in fighting for free and fair Elections.”

“Go out, NOW, and VOTE for Mike Lindell for Governor,” the president continued, adding that Lindell “will not let you down.”

The entrepreneur is seeking the Republican nod in the race to succeed outgoing Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D). The sitting governor dropped his bid for a third term in January amid a statewide fraud scandal.

He is running in a crowded GOP field that includes state Rep. Lisa Demuth, the speaker of the Minnesota House. The Republican nominee will likely face Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) in November, as she is favored on the Democratic side.

Lindell entered the race in December, months after a federal judge ruled he defamed Smartmatic by falsely claiming its voting machines helped rig the 2020 presidential election.

The My Pillow creator, who stepped down as CEO of the company last week to focus on his campaign, has long said Trump, and not former President Biden, won in 2020.

Lindell has the edge over Demuth in the majority of polls concerning the GOP primary. A recent KSTP-TV/Survey USA poll, conducted from July 29-Aug. 4, found that 34 percent of Republicans backed Lindell, while 28 percent backed Demuth.

The numbers put the state lawmaker 11 points ahead of third-place Kendall Qualls, an Army veteran and business leader. Another 16 percent of respondents were undecided.

Lindell’s edge was just outside the survey’s 5.6-point margin of error.
