‘Gabby’s Dollhouse’ Spinoff ‘Doozie’s Doghouse’ Set at Netflix (Exclusive)

Gabby’s sister is getting a spinoff at Netflix.

After first being mentioned in 2025’s Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie and then officially introduced ahead of the new season of Gabby’s Dollhouse, Gabby’s sister Doozie is now getting her own show, called Doozie’s Doghouse. The series will be a companion show to the flagship, which is currently in its 14th season.

Laila Lockhart-Kraner plays Gabby on the popular Netflix preschool series, which first launched in 2021. Doozie is voiced by Celestina Harris and, while Gabby loves cats, Doozie is described as her dog-loving little sister who makes visits on her sister’s show.

The seven episode season of Doozie’s Doghouse, which consists of 22-minute episodes, premieres Nov. 9 on Netflix.

The trailer (below) shows Doozie, similar to her sister, getting “tiny” and playing with her friends in the Doghouse, and shows how Gabby and her friends will crossover to the series for playdates with Doozie’s dog pals.

Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie delivered the surprising end-of-movie reveal when the 2025 film adaptation of Gabby’s Dollhouse the series first announced that Gabby had a little sister. That sister didn’t have a name or an actress attached until Netflix revealed this summer that Harris would be making her debut in the role on the currently airing 14th season of Gabby’s Dollhouse.

Here’s the official logline for Doozie’s Doghouse: “Doozie is pinching into her very own Doghouse for some puppy-riffic adventures with her best pup Puggie and all her Doozie Dogs. From the creators of DreamWorks Animation’s hit series Gabby’s Dollhouse, Doozie’s Doghouse is a mixed-media companion series that continues the fun with tail-wagging surprises, woof-tastic unboxings, and imaginative play. Creativity is limitless in Doozie’s Doghouse!”

The series is created by Gabby co-creators Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey. The voice roles are: Sebastian Billingsley-Rodriguez (“Puggie Paws”), Aaliyah Butler (“CreamPup”), Blake Kennedy (“PixiePup”), Donovan Patton (“Crouton Breadington”), Alan Trinca (“GamePup”), Kimiko Glenn (“Seaquin the SeaPup”), Darius Marquis Johnson (“Swaggy Waggy”), Arthur Waite (“BoxPup”).

The seed for giving Gabby a sister started when Johnson and Twomey had a funny idea for a dog episode of Gabby’s Dollhouse.

“We heard a lot from kids who watch Gabby that they love dogs,” Twomey told The Hollywood Reporter during an exclusive set visit to the Doozie series, filmed in Brooklyn, New York. “We thought the puppy energy would be really funny versus the cat energy, and we pitched the idea to Dreamworks. They got really excited about it and the idea to expand the universe just came from there.

“There’s not a lot of sister energy out there,” she continued. “Because Gabby is all about imagination, we don’t have parents. We loved the idea of family, and Gabby is so nurturing and all the cats are her family. We loved the idea of broadening that with the Dollhouse family and the Doghouse family.”

Johnson said that “as soon as they saw Harris,” they knew she was perfect to play Doozie. “We saw hundreds and hundreds of girls, and Cele just stood out,” she told THR. “With Doozie, there’s a little more whimsy and magic in each room of the Doghouse. In Gabby’s, every room was a preschool fantasy room and with Doozie’s, we just took it up a notch — the Yummy Zone, the Crafty Zone, the Boogie Zone. A little more of a play space, but still grounded in rooms the kids know. It feels like the stories can go anywhere, and you can take the kids anywhere with them.”
