The U.S. Open is here, and it’s already brought some early surprises — Jannik Sinner is out with an injury, while Carlos Alcaraz, who had been sidelined with a wrist injury, is in. Novak Djokovic continues to defy time as he chases his 25th Grand Slam, while Alexander Zverev will look to expand his trophy case after winning his first Grand Slam at this year’s French Open.

On the women’s side, Aryna Sabalenka will look to shake off a rusty run at this year’s majors. Should she win at Arthur Ashe Stadium, it would mark her third consecutive U.S. Open title. Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff will also seek their second U.S. open title, having last won in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

This year has also included some exciting mixed doubles matchups, with Carlos Alcaraz and Serena Williams advancing. However, the recently unretired Williams is skipping the singles tournament.

Like the other tennis majors, the U.S. Open will be available to watch on ESPN in the U.S. The tournament runs until Sept. 13, which is the men’s singles final. The women’s singles final is the day before. The women’s doubles final is Sept. 11, while the men’s is Sept. 12. The mixed doubles final takes place on Aug. 26. Coverage spans ESPN networks, with select matches also airing on ABC.

How to Watch the U.S. Open

ESPN Unlimited does not offer a free trial, although a monthly subscription costs less than other live-TV streamers. You get access to all of ESPN’s programming, letting you watch each U.S. Open match.
