Emmy nominees, to the front!

The Hollywood Reporter and SAG-AFTRA teamed up on Saturday night for Emmy Nominees Night, a celebration of this year’s top TV talent ahead of Monday’s big show. The event, presented by Snapchat and Waymo, took over the Chateau Marmont pool area and welcomed stars from The Pitt, Widow’s Bay, Pluribus, Hacks, Abbott Elementary and many other awards hopefuls.

Drinks — including signature cocktails dubbed “Waymotini,” “Primetime,” “Binge Worthy” and “Bungalow 1” — flowed from two poolside bars as guests walked the red carpet and mingled on the candle-lit patio. The Pitt crew rolled deep, with Katherine LaNasa, Patrick Ball, Taylor Dearden, Gerran Howell, Isa Briones, Laëtitia Hollard, Shawn Hatosy, Fiona Dourif and Sepideh Moafi keeping close throughout the evening; Ball told THR that many of them shared a car to get there, and he’s excited for “a whole weekend of hanging out with my friends.”

Beyond the fun and games, the cast is likely to collect some hardware as well, as The Pitt heads into the Emmys with a leading 25 nominations. A handful of awards have already been picked up at last weekend’s Creative Arts ceremonies — including a guest actor win for Ernest Harden Jr., who showed up to the party with his new statue in hand.

“It’s like I’m on cloud 55, not just nine. I’m so happy,” Harden Jr., who plays Louie Cloverfield on The Pitt, gushed. “It was unexpected to a point but it was a culmination of years of hard work and I guess that’s why I was up there on stage bawling like a baby, because all of that emotion came at once.” He and his co-stars posed with the Emmy trophy throughout the evening, as the group front-loads its celebrations; LaNasa revealed that the cast has to be back on set bright and early “Tuesday morning after the Emmys” to continue work on its third season, which may limit a late night on Monday if things go their way.

Elsewhere in the party, Shrinking‘s Michael Urie got in some face time with Abbott Elementary‘s Chris Perfetti and Janelle James (the latter also seen joking around with Hot Ones host Sean Evans), as Richard Gadd caught up with SAG-AFTRA executive director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland and Rhea Seehorn chatted with The Diplomat‘s Rufus Sewell and her Plurbius co-star Carlos Manuel Vesga.

Gadd, nominated for his Baby Reindeer follow-up Half Man, admitted that being back on the awards circuit so soon “feels great and it feels surreal. It feels like only yesterday I was here, but it also feels like a different life” where “I feel like my feet barely touched the ground.”

Seehorn, on the other hand, is after her first win following four career nominations, admitting that although at the end of the day the work is a big enough prize, “having [Pluribus] be received this well and then people wanting to nominate it for awards — I’ve never been up for a lead Emmy, I’ve never won an Emmy, yeah it’s cool. But I also love every single performance that’s in my category so I’m not going to be sad if one of them wins. Everybody deserves it but I’m still pinching myself. I’m having a great time.”

Other spottings included D’Arcy Carden enmeshed with Hacks trio Lucia Aniello, Jen Statsky and Paul W. Downs (as Downs noted the show’s fifth and final Emmys “feels like this is a real victory lap”) and Widow’s Bay breakout Kingston Rumi Southwick (with his parents in tow) celebrating alongside co-stars Dale Dickey, Jeff Hiller, K Callan and creator Katie Dippold. Lisa Rinna and husband Harry Hamlin spent some time with Nobody Wants This‘ Jackie Tohn, Tom Sandoval and Jack Osbourne brought the bromance, Shrinking‘s Jessica Williams made the rounds and Euphoria‘s Chloe Cherry staged her own personal photo shoot along the venue’s greenery.

Hiller, who won an Emmy last year for Somebody Somewhere before his impressive run on both Widow’s Bay and Pluribus, also offered up some advice for this year’s group of nominees, recommending that everyone “bring a snack, there’s not a lot of food there, surprisingly. It’s a long day — maybe if you’re really famous you can come right at the end but I had to come at like 1:15” before the 5 p.m. start time. Dickey also put the awards attention in perspective, saying, “I’ve met so many great people, other actors and just fans. I’m enjoying the ride, man, I’m having a good time — they got me a stylist to put me in some decent clothes!”
